Worn Leather Product Details.

Interior use only.
Brush-applied, multi-coat lime-based system with polishing wax finish.
Suitable for new and previously painted walls, as well as properly prepared timber surfaces.
Not suitable for wet areas (e.g. showers) or wooden countertops.
Available in selected standard colours, tinted at point of sale using Zero VOC, Glycol-Free, APEO-Free, NPEO-Free, and Formaldehyde-Free stainers.
Packaging: 1L and 5L tins.

Worn Leather Textured Wall Paint colours

Worn Leather Textured Wall Paint Application Process:

Priming:
Apply one coat of Earthcote DTE Matt, tinted to your selected Worn Leather colour, using a 225mm Polypile roller and 50mm brush.
Spread rate: ±7m²/L. Allow 4 hours to dry before overcoating.

Coating:
Apply two coats of Earthcote Worn Leather using a 150mm fibreglass brush. Use crisscross strokes to evenly stretch the product.
Spread rate: ±8m²/L. Allow 4 hours drying time between coats.

Important: Maintain a wet edge at all times to avoid lap marks and inconsistencies. Do not attempt patch repairs.

Sealing:
Apply two coats of Earthcote Wall Wax using a lint-free cloth or buffing machine with a lambswool pad.
Spread rate: ±40m² per 2L tin. Additional coats will enhance richness and depth.

Note: Wall Wax is primarily decorative and offers limited sealing. For high-traffic areas, use Midas Colour Retaining Primer or Midas Water-Based Twin Pack Acrithane.

Worn Leather Guidelines and Preventing Issues.

Ensure walls are dry before painting (max. 10% moisture content).
Ideal conditions: 10ºC–35ºC and 10%–85% humidity.
White spotting may occur due to lime content, this is a natural characteristic.
Avoid cold, damp conditions to prevent “lime blooming”.
Stir colourant immediately after adding to prevent lumps.
Colour variation may occur between batches, order sufficient quantities upfront.
Use only clean tools to maintain finish quality.
Protect surrounding areas with drop sheets and masking.
Over-application may cause “lime burn”, follow recommended spread rates.
Polish Wall Wax thoroughly for a rich sheen; insufficient polishing may result in a dull finish.
Do not apply wax too thickly, as it becomes difficult to polish.
Take your time, rushing may affect the final result.
